John Whale< no role > Quarter Master of the first Regiment of
Guards being sworn deposeth that on [..] Tuesday morning last the
10th. Instt. abot. 10 minutes after 12 as he was returning
to the Barracks Hyde Park he observed by the Side of
the Serpentine River a Hat lying on the Grass, and being
apprehensive it was laid there with a bad intent he did
not [..] go to take it up but when he got to the Barracks
he told the [..] Centinal on Guard what he had seen who
went soon afterwards, and found the Hat, and also
a Holly walking Stick by the Hat both of which he took
to the Barracks and which are now produced in Court
and from what has since transpired this deponent is
of opinion that they belonged to the deceased

Nelson Stratton< no role > of Islington Beadle of that Parish
being sworn deposeth that he hath viewed the Body of
the deceased who [..] is the Person that was advertised whence
missing from his Friends ever since Saturday Evening
last and that his name is John Lee< no role > of Islington Gentleman that he has been under a Medical Gentleman for
a Considerable time last past being afflicted with a
bilious complaint and in a decline and a very
low melancholly but further this Deponent
sayeth not
