this 12th. day of June 1797 in the parish
of St. George Hanover Square at
the Dwelling House of William
Carpinal

Horses in Mount Street Grosvenor
Square before Anthony Gell< no role > his
Majesty's Coroner for the said City
touching the Death of an Infant
Male Child name
then and there lying
dead as follow

James Westwood< no role > of Pimblico wharf bring sworn
deposeth that on Friday Evening last between five
and six o'Clock this Deponent met with the
Father of the deceased Child whose Name he does
not know and who told him he was afraid that
his child was drowned in Pimblico Creek as
the said child had been out most part of the Day and he
could not tell what was become of him therefore
desired this Deponent to look about the Creek
at Low Water, which he did, about 10 Minutes
before 12 that Night, when in Searching he just
touched his head with his right hand & [..] high up with a Hitcher but
did not bring him out, but about 12 at Noon
the next day (Vizt Saturday) they pulled him out
