this Eighth day of December 1796
in the Parish of St. Clement Danes at
the Dwelling house of Bradley
the Sign of the Rose & Crown in Clare
Court before Anthony Gell< no role > his
Majesty's Coroner for the sd. City
and Liberty touching the Death
of Elizabeth Leigh< no role > then & there
lying dead as follows, & to Wit.

Edward Dacre< no role > of Clare Court was Clare Market
being sworn deposeth that on Tuesday Night last
6th. Instant abot. 6 oClock the deceased came into the
Shop of Mr. Brooks a Fishmonger in Clare Court
in where hours she lodged and another Women in
with her and as soon as she got to the Foot of the Shirey
she drop'd down on the Floor and this Deponent who
was in the Room adjuring the Shop came out immediately
to her [..] and he and another Person lifted her up
and carried her up thirt into a Room there and laid
her upon the Bid at which time she gave motionless
and quite dead and Mr. Hill an Apothecary who was
[..] puting by was called in felt for her Palse and who said it was
useless to try any means for her [..] as she
was part all recovery
