taken 7th. day of Decr. 1776 in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the Liberty aforesaid at the
Dwelling House of Wm. Brewer< no role >
the Sign of the Butchers Arms
in Clements Lane . before
Anthony Gell< no role > his Majesty's
Coroner for the sd. City & Liberty
touching the Death of William
Pardoe them & there lying dead
as follow, to wit.

Robt. Cooke< no role > of Church Street Lambeth Waterman
being sworn deposeth that Mr. Wm. Pardoe< no role > the
Father of the deceased came to this deponent
at White Fell Stain [..] on Monday last
abot. 3 in the Afternoon and informed [..] Hai
that he believed his Son had been drownedin
[..] in the Court in St. James's Park on Sunday the
Proceding Evening about 6 o'Clock and
Thurpole do first this Deponent would go
and search for him Upon which this
Deponent not being able to get a Boat [..]
on the Court that Afternoons, he went the next
