taken this 27 May 1796 at
the Dwelling House of Thos. Embrey< no role > the Sign of the
Argyle Arms in Argyle Street Parish of St. James
touchg death of the Rt. Honble Charles Lord
Townshend< no role > .

Sir Edmund Lacy< no role > Mayor of Yarmouth
being sworn saith, that Ld chas. Townsend was nominated
for a Candidates for the borough of Yarmouth he [..]
there on the720th. & remained there till Yesterday
she did not observe any particular Symptoms of [..] Derangement
till Tuesday night last. when his Conduct in many
Particular was such as to in duet him not fit
to be returnedon wednesday Morng. he was prefectly
sane & composed & conducted himself perfectly
orderly he went this morning (before Dinner) to pay
his respects (after he was returned Member) to pay
his respects to the sevl. Freemen at several public
Houses & he drank punch & other Liquors at each
of the Houses [..] Ld Chat. was to have dined at
the Corporation Dinner appointed at 4 o'Clock
but asked it not come they sat down at
5 & [..] after Mr Fisher (the Father of the
Corporatr. was called out to say that Lord that
found ina very awkward Situation upon [..]
surrounded with a [..] of Old woman Kill
treated inconsequence that the Partly [..]
did not come forwd. in his Support were his
best Friends Mr. Fisher went immediately
went & bound Mr. Townsend was at his House
