this 21st. day of May 1796 in the Parish
of St. [..] Paul Covent Garden at
the Dwelling house of Walling the
Sign of the Yorkshire grey in Brydges
Street Covent Garden before Anthony
Gell

City and Liberty touching the Death of
Robert Benson< no role > This name instance is in set 1667. then and there lying
ahead as follow, to Wit.

John North< no role > a Waite [..] at the Crown & Anchor
in the Strand being sworn deposeth that as he &
anotherMr. Clark another which down Brydges Street [..] were returning
from [..] Co [..] about 3'o Clock
Yesterday morning (the 20th. Instant)they were
[..] theyhadwere just passing by Mr. Longdales
the Woollen Draper in Bryd [..] Street at a little
distance from each other thedeaddeceased file
from the Upper part of Mr. Longdale's house
between then at which time he was quite naked
and appeared to be quite motionless and dead
and they were informed it was Mr. Brown the Player
and much blood came from him and two Woman
and a Watchman soon came thither and the
Watchman spring his Ruffle and then this
Deponent
