Informations of Witnesses taken
this 17th day of Jany 1795 in the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields at the House of
Michael Appleby < no role > the Sign of the Crown
in Green Street Leicester Fields before
Anthony Gell< no role > His Majesty's Coroner
In the say City and Liberty touching
the Death of Maria Palmer< no role > an Infant
then and there lying dead , as follow,
to Wit.

Elizabeth Mills< no role > ofa Lodger in No. 6 Green Street Leicester
Fields being sworn deposeth that between 5 & 6
o'Clock last Night as she was washing Linnen
she heard the deceased cry out Mammy, but
very little but not being up [..] of any
thing a miss in the [..] Room or that the Mother
of the deceased was gone out she did not go
up their to [..] if any thing was the Matter
that about ten minutes afterwards the Mother
came home and went up stairs and sceamed
out Fire Fire my Baby is burnt whereupon
this deponent run up Stairs directly and upon
entering the Room she saw something on Fire
upon the Floor and endeavourned to extinguish
the fire and by the help of some Neighbours
they
