Informations of Witnesses taken
this 28th August 1794 at the
Dwelling House of John Jones< no role > Sign of the Compasses in
Chelsea in Parish of St. George Hanover Square on view of
the Body of a new born Male Child.

George Sanders< no role > Hospital Road Chelsea Broker [..] and or
Constable of St. Luke's Parish Chelsea, being sworn deposeth
and saith that John Harris< no role > a Chelsea pensioner sent to
this Dept. on Tuesday Evening last the 26th Inst. to inform
him that Mary Diana Parker< no role > had told him on the said day that
she was unhappy in her Mind that she had done something
wrong. That she had been delivered of as Child or the 21 June last had made
away with it within a few Minutes after the delivery
This Deponent went that same Eveng about ten o'Clock to
the Home of Mrs Elizabeth Walker< no role > in Beaufort Building row with
whom the said Mary Diana Parker< no role > then lived in the capacity
of a Servant this dept told the said Elizabeth Walker< no role >
that he was Sorry to come on a very disagreeable Business & which
was that he believed her said Servant Mary Diana Parker< no role >
[..] to have had a Connection with some Man, that she
had had a Child & had made away with it
At this time the said Diana Mary Parker was in Bed [..]
dressupon being informed that this Dept was come
after her - she immediately dressed herself & came
down Stain & when this Dept. told her that he
had come to apprehend her she expressed much Joy
at it & said she was very gladof itshe asked this
Dept. in coming home what he thought would become
of her- she said she hoped she should soon diebe hanged
