Information of Witness taken this 7th day
of July 1794 in the Parish of St. Martin in
the Fields at the House of William Hinton< no role >
the Sign of the Black Lyon in Charles Court
near Hungerford Market , before Anthony
Gell
< no role > His Majesty's Coroner for the said
City and Liberty, touching the Death
of John Hadwater< no role > then and there lying
dead, as follow, Vizt.

William Hinton< no role > of the Black Lyon in Charles
Court Victualer being sworn deponth and
saith that a little after 6 o' Clock in Saturday
Evens East (the 5th Instant) he heard that the
deceased was drowned in the River Thames near
Mr Woods Wharf in bathing, whereupon the
Deponent and one Thos Holmer< no role > went in a
boat in quest of him and in about ¾ of an
hour afterwards of they found him hard took him
into the boat and brot. him to the about
Black Lyon and called in medical Assist
-ance which was tryed for a consiterable
tion an the Body of the deceased but without
having the desired Effect
