Informations of Witnesses taken this 30th. day
of April 1793 in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist
Westminster at the Dwelling house of John White< no role >
the Sign of the Marquis of Granby in Vine
Street before Anthony Gell< no role > Coroner for the
City and Liberty aforesaid touching the
Death of Catherine Mitchell< no role > then and
there lying dead as follow.

Samuel Cox< no role > of Vine Street Lambeth Waterman being
sworn saith that Yesterday about 12 at Noon
having lanted a Fare at the Horse Ferry Westmr .
he was informed there was the Body of a drowned Person
floating a little above the Plying Place there
whereupon he part off with this Boat and Per-
ceived that it was the Body of a Woman near
the Shoes upon which he fastned the Hook rope
round one of her Arms and then round the Boat
and drew her to Shoar at the Horse Ferry by
which means the String of her Face was a little rubbed and
raised but there appearrd to him to be no
visible marks of Violence upon her
