Informations of Witnesses taken this day
of April 1793 at Knightsbridge in the Parish
of St Margaret Westmr . at the Dwelling house
of Edwd Carr< no role > that Sign of the Fox before Anthony
Gell
< no role > Coroner for the said City & Liberty
touching the Death of a Man unknown
then and there lying dead as follow

Edward Chandler< no role > of Knightsbridge being sworn smith
that on their sixth day of April as Captain Bukley and
his Servant were fishing in the Serpentine River in the
Parish of St. Margt. Westmr . they precinct the Body of
a Person under the Water and the they brought Body to the Shore
at the End of the Serpentine River when it appeared
to be the Body of a poor, old manwasin a Stable Waistcoat
and a Horse Cloth bound round him, and he appeared
to have layn in the Wath a considerable time being
bloated and in a very putrid State but when how and
by what means he came to his death they did Know
nor could they get any Information.

The Verdict That a man unknown was found drowned
on 6th. April 1793 in the Serpentine River in the Parish of
St. Margaret Westmr . but how and by what means did
not come to the Knowledge of the Jurors
