Enquiry they could not here of any such person
that this deponent was with the sd. Thos. Prosser< no role > when
he saw the deceased sitting or the Butchers Block
and when the went from thence and this deponent
did not see him afterwards

Peter Packard< no role > the Beadle at Knightsbridge being sworn
smith that he was surt for between 7 and 8 o'Clock on
Sunday morning the 16th. Decr. 1792 to a Man who was
sitting upon a Butchers Block at Knightsbridge
belonging to Mr. Forty, that when he came there the
deceased appeared to be in a dying State being
speechless whereupon this deponent with the
assistance of some other Persons carried the deceased
into the Fox Alehouse near adjoining and gave
him a little mullid Wine put of which he swallowed
and they sent for Mr. Jacksonan Apothecarethe Son of Mr Jackson a Surgeon
belonging to the humane Society who upon seeing
and examining him said he was dying and soon
afterwards the said Mr Jackson the Father came
and upon examing him said he was dead and did
not doubt but the Cause was a Fit
whereupon this Deponent with the Assistance of
another person got a Coach and put the deceased
into it and brought him down to St. Margarets
Workhouse
