to wit.
An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at The Parish of Saint John the Evangelist Westminster
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the third day of May in the thirty second
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great-Britain, France and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Anthony
Gell
< no role > , Esq. Coroner of our said Lord the king for the said City and Liberty, on
View of the Body of William Moulton< no role > then and there lying dead , upon
the Oath of Thomas Barlow< no role > , William Garner< no role > , John Randall< no role > , Charles
Williams
< no role > , Edward Young< no role > , Samuel Sealy< no role > , William Goods< no role > , John Church< no role > ,
Lewis Delamott< no role > ; John Griffiths< no role > , William Bradley< no role > John Vincent< no role >

good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said William Moulton< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, that the said William Moulton< no role > not being
of sound Mind, Memory, and Understanding, but lunatic & distracted
on the second day of May in the Year aforesaid, at the Parish
aforesaid in the Liberty aforesaid, one End of a certain Piece of small
Cord unto an Iron Nail fastened in a Quarter Partition in the
Lodging Room or Apartment of him the said William Moulton< no role >
in Buck Lane in the Parish and County aforesaid,and the other
End thereof about his own heck, did fix, tye, and fasten, & therewith
did then and there hang, suffocate, and strangle himself of which
said hanging, Suffocation, and Strangling he the said William
Moulton
< no role > then and there died: And so the Jurors aforesaid, do say,
that the said William Moulton< no role > , not being of sound Mind, Memory
and Understanding, but lunatic and distracted, in manner
and by means aforesaid, did kill himself. In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Thomas Barlow< no role > ,
Foreman of the said Jurors , on the behalf of himself, and the
rest of histhesaid Fellows in their Presence, have to this
Inquisition set their hands & Seals the day Year & Place
above mentioned.
