Square within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching the deat [..]

Mary Bates< no role > wife of James Bates< no role > a Lodger at William
Sallers< no role > of Burees Street in the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr. Chandler on her Oath saith That she Lodges in [..]
a Garret in Mr. Sellors even With the Garret whe [..]
the Deced Lodged Says that on Thursday Morn [..]
last the Twenty second Instant George the Deced [..]
son (who usually Slept with his Mother) called
Dept. desiring he to come to the Deced who [..]
dying Says that she went, and saw the Deced
lying upon the Heath Bleeding from a wound in
her Throat. which Dept. believes the Deced ga [..]
herself, Says that a Surgeon was fetched w [..]
Dressed the Deceds Wound and advised the
Deced's being carried to St. George's Hospital , where
Dept. saw the Body today and was informed
that she died there last Saturday the 24 Instant
Says that the Deced attempted to destroy a
herself on Sunday last was three weeks, but
Dept prevented her by taking the Knife out of he [..]
Hand and Dept. believes that Deced was at
times Disorder [..] in her Mind.

of Depts. Stairs and that his Wife found a Kni [..]

That he was soon after informed that the Deep
had cut her Throat, and believes that the Act
was her own and Says that for upwards of a
Year last past the Deced has been addicted to Drinking
