Informations taken this Nineteenth
day of May 1791 at the Parish of St.
John the Evangelist within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of William Shallard< no role > lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County

Samuel Bevan< no role > a Coach [..] at the House and Groom Yard
in Wood Street in the Parish of St. John the
Evangelist Westmr on his Oath saith, That last
Night about Eleven o'Clock Dept get into the
Depts. Stableandwas got into the [..] ay left
and desired Dept. to let him Sleep there
which Dept. agreed to the Deced being much
in Liquor, Says that he came again unto
the Stable about Six o'Clock the next Morning
and found the Deced under the Manger
in the Stable being come down from the
Hay loft and was feeling in the Straw
there for a Case Knife which the said he
had brought from his Sisters and was
in a Tremble and Sweating, That he got
into the Air on the out side of the [..] Door
and returned in immediately That he
Staggered and fall against the Harness
which hung up against the Wall That
his Felt slipt and he fell down, and died
there,

Carpenter on his Oath saith That he was
at Work this Morning at the Horse & Groom
Yard in Wood Street when Mr. Bevan
a Coachman called Dept saying that a Man
was fallen in a Fit in his Stable and desir'd
Dept to co [..] to him upon which he went
and saw the Decedlyingsitting upon the
Ground there with his Back against the
Harness, and appearing to be lying, and
he died immediately.
