Information taken this Seventeenth
day of May 1791 at the Parish of St John
the Evangelist within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the Death of a
Woman unknown lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County

William Johnson< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Coron No: 4 Marsham
Street Laborer on his Oath saith That on Sunday
last the Fifteenth Instant between four and five
o'Clock in the Afterwards Dept. went into the
House of Mr. Beach the Sign of the Chequer in
Abingdon Street in the Parish of St. John the
Evangelist Westmr. and in the Tap [..] om there
saw the Deced (whom Dept. did not know)
having a Pint of Beer, part of which she
asked Dept. to Drink which she did and
they drank three Prints more, the Deced
appearing to be in Liquor, Says that the
Deced asked Dept. to go home with her to
Gravel Lane , and he promised to go, That the
Deced laid her Head down upon the Table
and continued there until between Seven
and Eight o'Clock when Dept. lifted up her Head
and Found that the Deced was dead Says that
she was not hurt by any Person in the
Tap room. and that the Deced was very much
in Liquor.

William Beach< no role > at the Chequer in Abingdone Street
Westmr Victualler on his Oath saith That on
Sunday last between four and five o'Clock
in the Afternoon Dept. came into Dept. Tap room
and called for some Ale which Dept. refused
to draw, That she asked Mr. Johnson to go to
see her safe home to Gravel Lane and she would give him a shilling
which he agreed to do, and they drank two
[..] and a Quart together, That Deced laid
her Head down upon that Table and [..] ored very
much, That between Seven and Eight o'Clock
