Informations taken this Tenth day
of May 1790 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westminster in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the
death of a Man unknown being dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County

John Golder< no role > at No. 44 Chandor's Street in
the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
Bricklayer on his Oath saith That on
Friday last the Seventh Instant this Dept.
being at Work at Pimlico, a Gentleman
who was going along the Road said to
Dept. that a Hat was floating upon the
Water in one of the Cuts near the wooden
Bridge Chelsea, Says that, he took out
the Hat, That this Morning about
half after Seven o'Clock William
Sheppard
< no role > a Gardener told Dept. that he
saw a Man Drowned in the River
upon which Dept. went and saw the
Body of a Man floating upon the River
uponat Pimlico about six Yards from
the Place where the Hat was found
Says that with a Rake Dept. pulled the
Deced to the Shore in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square Says that the
Deced appeared to have been same day
in the Water, and that he saw no Mark
of violence upon him Says that three half Crowns
a half penny & two farthing were found in Deced's
Pockets.
