Informations taken this Fourteenth
day of November 1789 at the Parish
of St. James within, the Liberty of
Westmr in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death
of a Man unknown lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty & County.

William Cockens< no role > of the Watchmen of the
Parish of St. James Westmr. on his Oath saith
That on Thursday Night last little before
Twelve o'Clock, he was bled to Mr. Hutchins
Door where the Deced by before Mr. Hutchins
Door in Carnaby Street in the said Parish
of St. James , Westmr. Says that he lifted the
Deced up, who said that he lived in
Park Street Grosvenor Square and walked
with Dept. from thence into King, Street
in said Parish in order to go to one of
the Watchmen of the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
to take the Deced house, Says that the Deced
dropped down in King Street not being
able to walk any farther, the Depot
having hold of Deced's Collar saying
that he was very ill, Says that he
spring his Rattle and the Patroleman
come who assisted Dept. to carry Deced
to the Watchhouse, the Deced not speaking
a Word, and not able to stand says that
he went upon his Duty having the Deced
there,

Robert Shinner< no role > one of the Patrole of
the Parish of St. James Westmr. on his Oath
saith, That about five Minutes after one o'Clock
Yesterday Morning Dept. went to the Parish
Watchhouse
