An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of Saint John the Evangelist
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church St. Pater Westminster
in the County of Middlesex , the Thirtieth day of October in the Thirtieth
Year of the Regin of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas
Prickard
< no role > , Gentleman, Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City and Liberty, on
View of the Body of a Woman unknown then and there lying dead, upon
the Oath of John Randall< no role > , Edward Phillips< no role > , Samuel Strudwick< no role >
Charles Stedman< no role > , Robert Wyatt< no role > , John Edge< no role > , William Clark< no role >
Thomas Rogers< no role > . Henry Fry< no role > , James Randall< no role > , Lionel Galley< no role >
and Samuel Townshend< no role > good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Woman unknown came to
h er Death do upon their Oath say, That on the Twenty Ninth day of
October in the year aforesaid, the said Woman whose hame is
unknown, was found Drowned and suffocated in the River Thames
at the Wharf of John Gaunt< no role > and Richard Gaunt< no role > , upon Milbank
in the said Parish of St. John the Evangelist within the Liberty
and County aforesaid, That no marks of violence appeared on the
Body, but now, or by what means the said Woman unknown became
Drowned and suffocated no Evidence thereof death appear to the
Jurors.

In Witness whereof as well the said
Coroner as the said John Randall< no role > Foreman of the said Jurors,
on the behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their presence
have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year
and Place abovementioned.
