Informations taken this Twenty Third
day of October 1789 at the Parish of
St. Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Henry Haslop< no role >
an Infant lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Mary Abbot< no role > Wif of John Abbot< no role > a Serjeant
in the first Regiment of Guards, Lod [..]
to John Haslop< no role > in Green's Alley in the
Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. on her
Oath saith That the usually took care
of the Deced when Mrs. Haslop the Mother
went out, Says that she was not well
Yesterday Morning and lay in Bed until
Ten o' Clock, and heard nothing of Mrs.
Haslop or the Infant Child, who was two
Months old, Says that Mrs. Haslop came
home about two o' Clock and sent her Son
up to the Dept. for the Child, upon which
Dept. came down to Mrs. Haslop, who said
have not you got the Child and upon Dept.
saying that she had not desired Dept. to
rum to the Bed immediately which she
did and upon turning down the Bed
(being a Turn up Bed) found the Deced in
the Bed Cloaths, dead Says that Mr. Pilliner the
Apothecary was sent for who said it was too
late and that the Child was dead, Says that
Mrs. Ann Heslop< no role > cryed out and was in
Fits some time but about Eight o' Clock at
Night recovered her Senses and then said
that she had Turned up the Bed when she
was going out in the Morning thinking
that the Child had been sent to Dept. as usual
Says that Mrs. Haslop was always very fond
of the Child.
