Informations taken this Twenty seventh
day of June 1788 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
Partrick Thornton< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and and County.

Thomas Hickman< no role > a Brick layer on his Oath
saith That he was Yesterday at Work at the
House of Lady Clifford in Briston Street in the
Parish of St. George Hanover Square , That the
Deced sent to Mr. Ellins for a Laborer , and
about ten Minutes after one o'Clock,when
Dept. was going to Work after Dinner, and on
Entering the Street he heard a Woman
cry out,O God, he is down he is down
upon which Dept. ran to the Deced, who
was upon the Iron Rails before Lady Cliffords
House, and two of the Iron Spiches in the
Deced's Head on the right side, and Dept.
was informed that the Deced had fallen
of the Ladder in the Front of the House
Says that he lifted the Deced of the Iron
Spikes, Says that the thought he perci [..]
Life in the Deced but he died immediately,
and Dept. believes that the Deced's fall was
merely Accidental, and that it was the Course of
the Deced's death.
