An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at The Parish of Saint George Hanover Square
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the twenty ninth day of May in the twenty eighth
Year of the Reign on our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great-Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and So forth, before Thomas
Prickard
< no role > , Gentleman, Coroner of our Said Lord the King for the Said City and Liberty, on
View of the Body of Ardler (Christian Name unknown) then and there lying dead, upon
the Oath of Philip Thomas< no role > , Thomas Hart< no role > , Thomas Storer< no role > , Richard
Wrather
< no role > , John Warren< no role > , Edward Leech< no role > , Alexander Henderson< no role >

and Nathaniel Playne< no role > good and lawful Men of the Said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly Sworn and charged to enquire our Said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Ardler (Christian Name unknown) came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath Say That on the said twenty ninth day of
May in the Year aforesaid the said Ardler whose Christian
Name is not known was found Drowned and Floating
in the Serpentine River in Hyde park at the said
Parish of Saint George Hanover Square within the Liberty
and County aforesaid that no Marks of Violence appeared
upon the Body but how or by what means the said Ardler
whose Christian Name is not known became Drowned and
suffocated no Evidence thereof doth appear to the Jurors,

In Witness whereof as well the said
Coroner as the said Philip Thomas< no role > Foreman of the said
Jurors on the behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows
in then Presence have to this Inquisition set their Hands
and Seals the Day Year and Place abovementioned
