Informations taken this Eighth
day of January 1788 at the Parish
of St. James within the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching
the death of William (Surname
unknown) now lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Henry Naylor< no role > of Jermyn Street in
the Parish of St. James Westmr. Apothecary
on his Oath Saith That about three weeks
ago between six & seven o'Clock in the
Morning a Person come to Dept. desiring
him to come to a Man in Badmays Mees
who had drank a Quantity of Gin
upon which he went and out the Deced
in a Stable there and several people
around him, the Deced being in and
sensable State not able to speak and
had the appearence of a dying Man
his place being very small Says that
he could get nothing down his Throat
but desired Mr. Lloyd Junr. if any thing
could be got down that he would gave
Deced at the Warm Water & Vinegar
Says that he intended to see the Deced
again but was informed by Mr. Lloyd
Junr . that the deced, was dead it being
then about Ten o'Clock Says that he
was informed by a Servant in Livery
there that the Deced and four other
Men had drunk a Quart lying and
that he believed the Deced had drank
above a Pint of it and Dept, thinks
that the Deced died by excessive Drinking
and Dept. was told that the Deced said
to the Man if you will gaveitme a Quart
I will drank it but never heard that
any person forced him to drink
