Informations taken his Second day
of July 1787 at the Parish of St. James
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex upon and Inquisition touching
the death of Stephen Rosetti lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty & County.

Edmunds Court in the Parish of St. James
Westmr. Plumber Assistant on her Oath saith
That on Saturday Night last (June 30th.) about
half past Nine o'Clock Stephen Rosetti the Deced
came into Dept. House with a Woman whose
Name Dept. does not know) Deced asked for
a Candle, which was given him lighted
and he went up Stairs with the Woman
into a Room on the First Floor, Says
that in about three Minutes Dept. heard
some thing fall heavily upon the Floor
upon which Dept. went up Stairs, when
the Woman clapped her Hands saying that
the Gentleman had fallen in a Fit Says
that she took hold of the Deced's [..] and
endeavoured to left him up but was not
able the Deced being quite helpless, Says
that she sprinkled some Water in Deced
face, when he once Sicked, and died
immediately, Says that she sent for
Mr. Clough the Surgeon who endeavoured
to bleed the Deced who bled a few Drops
only. Says that she heard no Noise
or Disburbance above Stairs before the Decd
fell down, and believes that the Deced died in
a Fit.
