Informations taken this Twelfth
day of August 178 6 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of John Duckett< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty and County

John Lever< no role > Taylor Foreman to John Duckett< no role > the Deced
on his Oath saith That he was this day in his
Master's House and about two o' Clock heard
the Report of a Pistol in the House in Davis
Street in the Parish of St. George Hanr. Square
That the Apprentice was with Dept. in the
work Shop and on hearing the Report went
to see where it was, and Dept. followed
and finding it was in the Deced's Bed [..]
Dept. went in and saw the Deced lying on
his Back on the Floor bleeding at the
Mouth and his Shirt very Bloody and
a great deal of Blood on the Floor, Says
that he did not then see the wound but
afterwards saw it under theRightLeft
Breast, Says that he saw a Pistol on
the Floor near the Right Thigh of the
Deced with which Dept. believes the Deced
gave himself the Wound Says that the
Deced was not able to speak and died in
about three Minutes, Says that the Deced
has been out of Town about a fortnight
and returned home last Night as Dept. was
informed, Says that the Deced was in
Bed this Morning and Dept. went to his
Bedside about six o' Clock but Deced could not give him
any Directions that he could understant
appearing to be either Sleepy or Stupid
