Informations taken this thirteenth
day of June 1786 at Tothill Fields
Bridewell in the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the
County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of Mary Jones< no role >
a Prisoner lying death in the said
Prison.

Elizabeth Hazle< no role > a Prisoner in Tothill Fields
Bridewell on her Oath saith, That she [..]
been Prisoner upwards of one Year, That
Mary Jones< no role > the Deced was brought Prisoner
the about a Month, appear in then to be
in Health, Says that she Continued so
until last Week, when Dept. was informed
that the Deced was ill, and Dept. on Thursday
last the Eighth Instant Ordered her into
the Sick Ward, Deced, being in a Fever
Says that Mr. Hanbury came to Deced
and sent her Medicines which Dept.
gave to Deced, but Deced, Grew worse
and died [..] Morning about
Seven O' Clock, Says that the Governor
not only gave Deced the Allowance of
the Prison but also gave Dept. (who is
Nurse to the Sick [..] )Money to buy other
things Proper for the Deced, with which
Dept. bought Wine, and made Deced some
Balen Taer, and attended the Deced to
the time of her Death, Says that the
Deced was not ill used by any Person
in said Prison, and Dept. believes that
th Deced died a Natural Death, Says
that She wrote a Letter (at the request of
the Deced) to Mr. Ideson, Begging to be
Discharged and that she Belonged to the
Parish of St. James .
