day of February 1786 at the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of Nathaniel
Morgan
< no role > lying dead of the said Parish
Liberty and County

John Jones< no role > No. 9 Castle Court Strand in the
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields Hair Dresser
on his Oath saith That he has Known
Nathaniel Morgan< no role > the Deced about fourteen
Years and haw attended him as Hair Dresser
Eleven or Twelve Years last part Says that
between Eleven and Twelve o'Clock last Saturday
the Twenty fifth Instant Dept. called at Deced
Lodging No. 5. in Orange Street in the Parish
of St. Martin in the Fields and went to Deced
Room Door a knocked but had no Answer
Says that he Acquainted Mrs. Read therewith
who [..] the Yard Door called the Deced but having
no Answer [..] a Smith was fetched who
went with Dept. to the Room Door which was
fastened on the inside and the smith [..]
forced open the Door and Dept, went into the
Room and saw the Deced Hanging by a Cord
which was fastened to some timesthe foot of a
Wooden [..]
at the foot of a Closet in the
Room, and about the Deced's Neck, Says
that with a Knife Dept, cut the Cord, and
Deced fell down, the Deced a Y [..] being dead
Say that a Surgeon was fetched who
Examined the Deced saying that Deced
was dead and Cold and Dept. believes that
the Deced [..] Hanged himself, Says
that for six Weeks or two Month last past
the Deced complained of a Pain in his Head,
and was about it and was very
low spirited, and more so of late
