Informations taken this Third
day of August 1785 at the Parish of
St. George a Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Thomas Evans< no role >
an Infant lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Mary Allen< no role > Wife of Richard Allen< no role > of
Carpenter Street on her Oath saith
That on Monday last (Augt. 1st .) Dept. was
going along Mount Row in the Parish of
St. George Honr. Square when she heard
ThomasEvans< no role > an Infant aged about three Years fall down upon the
Stone Pavement just before the Deced, Says
that she took up the Child, which was not
able to speak, Says that Mr. Thompson a
Surgeon was fetched who Examined the
Head of the Child and said that the Skull
was fractured on the top of the Head, Says
that she looked up and Saw the Sash
of a Window up. being upon the Stairs
in the House of the Child's Father, and
Dept. believes that the Child Accidentally
fell down out of the window where
the Sash was open.
