Informations taken this Seventh
day of February 1785 . at the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Luke Hogarth< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County

Thomas Weston< no role > of And ley Chapel Court in
the Parish of St. George Honr. Square, Park of
Andley Street Chapel on his Oath saith, That
Luke Hogarth the Deced was Powopener on
the said Chapel and Lodard at Mr. Douglais in
the same Court Says that on Friday last
the fourth Instant between he Hours of
Twelve & One at Noon dept. saw the Deced in AndleyStreet
Chapel Court Says that on Saturday the fifth
Instant between Eleven and Twelve, Dept.
went with Mrs. Williams one of the Perso [..]
and Dept. Daughter into said capel when he say the Deced
Hanging in the Chapel abovementioned in
the said Parish, by a Cord which was fastening
to an Iron Blood Staple in a Wooden Door
there an about the Deced's Neck Says
that he Cut the Cord by which the Deced him
and laid the Deced on the Floor, the Deced
being quite Cold, and appeared to have
been dead some Hour and Dept. beleive
that the Deced Hanged himself and this
Dept. says that the Deced for some time
past appeared to be low Spirited and
dejected.
