Informations taken this Twenty third
day of June 1784 at Knights bridge in
the Parish of St. Margaret within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the death
of John Callachon< no role > being dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County

Henry Hillier< no role > Laborer on his Oath saith
that he was out work in Hyde Park Yesterday
morning the Twenty second Instant, when he
saw the Deced walking by the side of the
Serpentine River in Hyde Park appearing
to be very Melancholy, Says that some time
after he saw the Deced standing upon the
North Parapet of the Bridge in Hyde park
and then throw himself into the Serpentine
River there, Says, that the Deced came
up and made towards the Boat that was
Chained under the Bridge Says that he
man got the Key inchaired the Boat
got hold of the Deced and pulled him to
the Shore in the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr. appearing to be dead, Says that
the Deced was brought to the Sign of the
Fox in Knightsbridge , Says that he thinks
the Deced was very Melancholy and
Dejected when he saw him worth by the
Serpentine River

Thomas Jones< no role > Laborer on his Oath saith
that he assisted to get the Deced out of the Boat
in the Serpentine River in Hyde Park to the Shore
appearing to be dead Says that he was carried
to the Sign of the Fox where Mr. Jackson the
Surgeon for some time endeavoured to restore
him.
