Informations taken this Third day
of January 1784 at the Parish of St.
Ann within the Liberty of Westmr. in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
to which the Death of Mary Liege< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Sarah Cox< no role > Servant to Mr. Francis Deschamp< no role >
in Wardour Street in the Parish of St. Anne
Westmr . on her Oath saith That Mary Liege
the Deced Lodged at Mr. Deschamps on
the First Floor and has Lodged there about
three Years, Says that she attended the
Deced and was with the Deced last Night
about Nine o'Clock and carried her a Pint
of Beer, which she made hot and Deced
put some Gin in it and drank it, bring
then much in Liquor, Says that she left
the Deced alone about half hour after [..]
[..] Nine, Says that about half past Ten Dept.
was going to Bed, andpassing by Deced
Room
heard a Noise in the Deced's Room
upon which she went up and found the
Room on Fire and the Deced burnt and lying
down by the Fire side, her Cloaths being
burnt and the Deced Dead being burrnt
in her Head and Body Says that there
was no Person in Deced's Room since Dept.
went away about half past Nine, and believes
that the Deced was Accidentally burnt, and
says that the Deced was much Addicted to
Liquors.
