Informations taken this Thirtieth
day of December 1783 at the Parish of
St. Anne within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of a
Woman unknown lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Stephen Joyce< no role > Beadle of the Parish of St. Anne
Westmr . on her Oath saith, That he was upon
Duty in the Watchhouse on Sunday Night
last Decr. 28th., That about Twelve oClock
that Night a Woman whose Name in not
known came to the Watchhouse & desired to
be let in to Warm herself Says that he let
the Deced came in and that she sat down in the
Fore room near the Fire, and Dept. thought
her to be rather in Liquor, Says that Deced
stand there until about a Quarter after
Eight o'Clock the next Morning when
Dept went away from the Watchhouse leaving
the Deced and Mr. Ward the Watchhouse keeper
there, Deced then appearing to be well
Says that he saw nothing more of the Deced
until about Eleven o'Clock when he was
informed that the Deced was dead, and
Dept. thinks that the Deced died a natural
Death.

John Ward< no role > Watchhouse keeper at the
Parish of St. Anne Westmr . on his Oath
saith, That on Sunday Night, last about
Twelve or One o'Clock two of the Patrol men
of the Parish brought the Deced to the Workhouse
by order of Mr. Elesck, Says that she was
taken in appearing to be very much in
Liquor, Says that the Deced sat in the
Fore room
