Informations taken this Twenty Sixth
day of November 1783 at the Parish of St.
James within the Liberty of Westmr. in the
County of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of David Scott< no role > lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

Thomas Carney< no role > a Laborer on his Oath
saith That he was at Work yesterday at a House
in Charles Street in the Parish of St. James
Westmr. Says that David Scott< no role > a Carpenter
was likewise at Work at the top of the
same House, Says that he was preparing
Morter in the Street before the said House
whenbetween Eleven and twelve o'Clock
when the Deced fell down in the Coach
Way close to the Deced, but Dept. did not
see him come down, the he thinks that
Deced fell from the top of the House,
Says that the Deced lay down motionless
and unable to speak, That the Deced bled
from his Head, and died immediately
Says that he heard no Noise or disturbance
at the top of the House and believes that the
Deced's fall was merely Accidental.

saith, That he was yesterday at Work for
Mr. Evans at a House in Charles Street St. James
that David Scott< no role > the Deced another Carpenter
worked there with Dept. That they were

at the top of the House in order to Furr it
