Informations taken this fourteenth
day of Octr. 1783 at Tothill Fields Bridwll
in the Parish of St. Margaret within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the
death of Sarah Drinkwater< no role > a
Prisoner there lying dead

Elizabeth Payne< no role > Widow a Prisoner in
Tothill Fields Bridewell in the Parish of
St. Margaret Westmr. on her Oath saith
That she has been Prisoner there upwards
of three Months, That Sarah Drinkwater< no role >
was brought to said Prison on the Twelfth
day of Augt. last appearing to be in Health
That she continued so about three weeks
That Deced then complained of the Grant
and was in great pain, Says that Mr.
Purdu the Apothecary attended the Deced every day
and sent her Medicines, and this Dept.
was in the same Ward with Deced and
attended upon her, Says that the Deced grew
worse and died yesterday Morning the
thirteenth Instant in said Prison, Says
that the Deced had every day not only
her Allowance, but Tea & Wine from
the Governor, Says that the Deced was
not ill used by any Person in said
Prison, and that the Deced died a
natural Death.
