Informations taken this Twelfth day of
September 1783 at Tothill Fields Bridewell
in the Parish of St. Margaret Westminster
upon an Inquisition touching the Death of
Jane Smith< no role > a Prisoner then and there
lying dead.

Ann Smith< no role > a Prisoner in Tothill Fields
Bridewell on her Oath saith That she has been
Prisoner there about three Weeks and found Jane
Smith
< no role > the Deced Prisoner there, being very ill
and complaining of a pain in her Stomach
and that she had no Appetite Says that
Mr. Purdean the Apothecary attended the
Deced, and this Dept. did what was necessary
for her and Seldom left her, but Deced grew
worse and died this Afternoon Says that
the Deced was not ill sized by any Person
and Dept. believes that the Deced died in
a natural Way.
