his Lodging, and Dept. overtook him, Says<lb></lb>
that several of the Watchmen come there<lb></lb>
and endeavoured to take Barnes to the<lb></lb>
Watchhouse,<del>which</del>
That he was unwilling<lb></lb>
to go and said that they should not take him<lb></lb>
there that a Scuffle ensued to that Barnes was soon<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
upon the Ground,<lb></lb>
but Dept. did not observe how he came down <lb></lb>
Says that one of the Watchman a Short Man<lb></lb>
said I will Stab him but ill take him: to the Watch house and immediately put<lb></lb>
him Hand under his Coat on the Right side <lb></lb>
but Dept. did not see any Weapon, and said<lb></lb>
to the Watchman for Gods sake do not stab.<lb></lb>
him for if you cannot got him to the Watch house<lb></lb>
without you had better let him go, Barnes<lb></lb>
being there upon the Ground and several<lb></lb>
of the Watchmen about him, and Barnes<lb></lb>
said to Dept. You are an old Villain, Says<lb></lb>
that he left them there and went home,<lb></lb>
Says that he saw no Blow struck either<lb></lb>
by Barnes or the Watchmen, Says that he<lb></lb>
thinks the Watchman who said he would stab Barnes<lb></lb>
