and a Glass of Brandy, with which his
Temples were rubbed, but Deced could not
drink and a Gentleman there said that the
Deced was dead, They however drove Mr. Hooper to an
Apothecary in the same Street who said
that Deced was dead, and Dept. ordered the
Coachman to drive to Deced's House in
Bateman's Buildings, where the Deced
was carried in being then dead, and
Dept. thinks that the Deced died in a Fit
and this Dept. Says that she saw the Deced
faint in his Shop two or three times, at
different times.

Street St. Anne's Furrier on her Oath saith
That she has Warked with Mr. Valli the Deced
upwards of two Years last past That Elinor
Newton
< no role > & this Dept. went together from the
Deced's House about Nine o'Clock last Night
and met the Deced in Queen Street at the
End of Bateman's Buildings, Says that the
Deced said something to her which Dept. Cannot
recollect, and Dept. went towards home
and before she got to her Apartment in
Child called her saying that somebody were
in her Room upon which She went up
and found the Deced and Elinor Newton
there, with a Twelfth Cake, which was Eaten
by the Deced and them. That the Deced had
likewise too Pots of Beer, and a Wife of
Tobacco, of which he smoaked a little Says
that about Ten o'Clock or a little after the Deced
and Elinor Newton< no role > went away together, He
said Newton being, in last to get home, and
Dept. did not see either of them until she was
informed about Twelve o'Clock that she Deced
was dead. the Deced did not complain at
Dept. Apartment last Night but looked very ill.

Henry Ball< no role > Assistant Surgeon to Mr. Hodges
in Greek Street St. Ann's on his Oath Saith
That about Eleven o'Clock last night a Person came
to desire Mr. Hodges to come to Mr. Valli
the Deced, Mr. Hodges being from home
this Dept. went and found the Deced dead
Says that he opened a Vein in Deced's
right Ann, but Deced did not bleed at
all, and Dept found it in vain to attempt
any thing fair ther, Says that he found
no Marks of violence upon the Deced
and believes that he died in a Fit of
Apoplesy.
