o'Clock one of the Watchman knocked at Dept.
Door saying that he was sent by the Maid Servt.

who lived Next Door to the
Chair maker's in Warwick Street
(which Dept.
knew to be Mr. Hopkins) saying that he was
very bad indeed, upon which he went to the
Deced's House, and found the Maid Servant in
great Distress, That he saw the Deced in a
Chair in the Dressing Room Bleading from
two wounds, one over the left Eye brow and
the other on the Forepart of his Head
appearing to be made by a Pistol Ball
That he found a Pistol upon the Chest of Drawers
near the Deced, Says that the Deced was dead
and thinks that the Deced shot himself
Says that he frequently saw the Deced, who
appeared to be in a State of Despondency
Particularly for about three Weeks last
past, and Dept. has of late thought the Deced
not to be in his right Mind.
