Informations of Witnesses taken upon
Oath this 16th, day of August 1782, at the
Dwelling House of Mr, Tollam the Thistle and
Crown in Great Peter Street in the Parish of St.
John the Evangelist Westminster , Before
Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman His Majesty's
Coroner for the City and Liberty of Westminster on
View of the Body of Thos, Harrison there lying Dead

Saml, Hale< no role > aged near 16 Years Son of Richard Hale< no role > of Rochester
Row Tothil Fields Brewer , on his Oath said that yesterday
Afternoon about half after Two his Father ordered him to
take his little Horse to Water in the Pond in Tottill Nulds
the back of Mr. Arrows, and when he came to the Pond he
found a great number of Children about the Pond, and some
called out Sam Hall then is a Boy drowned, Deponent
immediately undressed himself and went in and dived for
him, and in about Ten Minutes he trod on his Back and
brought him out directly, but from his fright can not tell
how he got him out, and the Boy was carried to his Fathers
House in Great Peter Street , and then Deponent went to [..]
Surgeons, but found only one at home who directed him to the
Parish Surgeon, one Mr, Purdue an Apothecary came and Bled
him but only a drop or so of Blood came.
