Informations taken this Twenty ninth
day of July 1782 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex (Vizt. at Knightsbridge ) upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
a Woman unknown lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Robert Crow< no role > one of the Keepers of Hyde Park
at Hyde Park Corner Gate on his Oath saith That
on Saturday Morning last about Ten o'Clock
Mr. Justice Addington's Servant came to Dept.
saying that a woman was Drowned in the
Serpentine River in Hyde Park, of which
his Master (who was fishing) was informed by
a Man going along towards Kensington
Says that he went and in the River saw
the Deced lying on her Park in the River about five Yards
from the Shore Says that Thomas Hirst< no role >
another Keeper who was with Dept. walked
into the River and with a small Hook
got hold of the Deced's Pettycoats, and assisted
Dept. to pull the Deced to the Shore in the
Parish of St. Margaret Westmr . Says that
he saw no Marks of violence upon the
Deced, nor did she appear to be long
Drowned. Says that he took ten Shillings &
23d [..] Deced's Pocket & a pair of Silver Buckles out of
her Shoes.

Thomas Hirst< no role > one of the Keeper of Hyde Park
on his Oath saith, That the Account given by
Mr. Crow is true, Dept. being with Mr. Crow
whenand assisted to pull the Deced out of the
Serpentine River
