Eighth day of February 1781. at
the Parish of St. Clement Danes
with in the Liberty of Westmr. in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquistn.
touching the death of Evans Philips< no role >
lying and in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Richard Watson< no role > at the Angel in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes Coachman on his Oath saith
That he yesterday Money [..] drove the
Portsmouth Stage Coach from London to
[..] uilford [..] That he there found Evans
Philips the Deced a Passenger who came
in the Coach from Portsmouth , appearing
to be very ill, and not able to sit
upright in the Coach, That he saw the
Paid at Cockram who was very bad, and
at Kingston appeared to be worse
and on his stopping at Chaspham he
found the Deced Lead in the Coach
Says that the Deced was thenfirst into the
put into the Basket and brought to the
Sign of the Angel abovementioned
And Dept. says that the Deced was not
ill used in the Coach, and that the Deced
died a Natural Death, that the Deced
told Dept. that he had been ill about
a fortnight with a violent Cold

Militica on his Oath saith That he came
Passenger in the Coach yesterday from
Portsmouth
