Informations taken this Thirtieth day of Decr.
1780 at the Parish of St. Margaret within the Liberty
of Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death at a new born Female Child
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County.

Archdall Harris< no role > of New Palace Yard in the Parish of St.
Margaret Westmr. Sugeon on his Oath saith that he this
day Examined a Female Child in the Work house belonging
to the parish, and found no Marks of violence thereupon
Says that the Child appear'd about a Seven Months
Child, and that there is nothing that induces Dept.
to think that the Child was born alive, That the Child
appears to have begin dead near three Weeks and
is now in a State of Putrefaction

Thomas Keylock< no role > of Bow Street Westmr . Cordwainer
on his Oath saith That Yesterday about Eleven o'Clock
Dept. was in Mr. Cartwright's Shop in Dev mouth Street
when the Apprentice can in saying that if they
would go into Park Street they would see such a sight
[..] their never saw before upon which Dept. went into
Park Street and there near the back Dear of the
Corkpit upon the Ground he saw a Child with a
piece of Linnen Cloth near it, the Child appearing
to be dead some time, Says that he was informed there
that two Boys Playing at Shuttlecock found the Child
Served up in the Linnen Cloth under some Bullock
near the Cockpit Back Door, Says that her informed
Mr. Toplis the Overseer therewith who ordered
him to go to the Governor of the Workhouse , and
desire him to send some Person to bring the
Child to the Workhouse and a Woman from the
Workhouse went with Dept. to the Child and
carried it to the Workhouse .
