Informations taken this Twenty Sixth
day of June 1780 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching. the
death of William Plumber< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County

James Green< no role > a Soldier in Caption Heath's
Company of the Hartfords hire militia on his
Oath saith, That the said Regriment is now
Enamped in Hyde Park in Parish of St. George
Hanover Square Westmr. That he was in the
Camp last Night about Eight of oClock, and the
the Deced William Plumber< no role > and Peter
Thoregood
< no role > two Soldiers in the same Company
were then present in Hyde Park , Says
that there was a Piece in Dept. Tent that
belonged to a Soldier then Confined in the
Guard House, and Dept. gave it to Thorogood
to put into the Bell Tent, Says That the
Deced was going with a Relation to get
a Pint of Beer and seeing some Linnen
tyed up in an Apron lying down before
the Tent, he Kicket the Bundle and bid
Thorrogood take in in, That Thorogood
asked him why he did so, and Deced was carrying
laughing there, That Thurregood put the
Butt End of the Piece, which he was carrying
to the Ball Tent, towards the Deced, and
in a Joke said, I will Spinge you, That he
afterwards turning the Piece put the
Butt End of the Piece against his side &
the Muzzle towards the Deced, when the
Piece Accidentally went off, and that
the Piece being Loaded, which was unknown to him
and he verify behives unknown to Peter
