County of Middsex }

Informations taken this Sixteenth day
of March 1780 at the Parish of St James with
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Midsex
upon the Inquisition touching the death
of Robert Jones< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

James Harrison< no role > of Little Mary lebone Street
Bricklayer on his Oath saith. That he was at
Work this Morning upon the House of Richard
Atkinson
< no role > in Piccadilly , in the Parish of Sign
Westmr. and that Robert Jones< no role > the Deced was
likewise at work there as a Laborer, That
about a Quarter before Seven o'Clock this
Morning Dept was Standing upon the
Garret Window, and that the Deced had
just brought up an Empty Basket and
put it upon the Parapet walk, and was standing
at the top of a Long Ladder, Says that he
saw the Deced upon the Stone Pavement
before the House, that the Basket fell down
with the Deced, but Depot.,Cannot say how
the Accident happened, Says that he imediately
came down to the Deced, who was not able
to speak or move himself That the Deceds
Skull was open on the right side of his Head
and that his Brains come out, and deced that he
died immediately, says that he this Dept. was
about see feet fighter then the Deced when his
fell, and that there ws no other Person new
to him at that time, and Dept. says that
the Deced's fall was merely Accidental.
