An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish of Saint Margaret
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Tenth day of January in the Twentieth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Mary Hands< no role > a Prisoner then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of William
Terry
< no role > , Samuel Ray< no role > John Leech< no role > Henry Smith< no role > , Robert Bath< no role > John
Chevers
< no role > , Jonathan Griffiths< no role > , Christopher Hill< no role > , Joseph Kimberley< no role > Thomas Horn< no role >
James Reeves< no role > and John Chewter< no role > good and Lawfull Men of the said Liberty duly
chosen, who being then and there duty sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Mary Hands< no role > came to
h er Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said Mary Hands< no role > being a
Parish Liberty Tothill Fields Bridewell aforesaid in the
Parish Liberty and County aforesaid, on the Ninth day
of January in the Year aforesaid at Tothill Fields
Bridewell aforesaid departed this Life by the Visitation
of God in a natural Way, to Wit, of a Fever, and not
otherwise. In Witness whereof as well the
said Coroner, as the said William Terry< no role > Foreman
of the said Jurors, on the on behalf of himself and the
rest of his said Fellows, in their presence, have to
this Inquisition set their Hands, and Seals the Day
Year and Place abovementioned
