Informations taken this Fifteenth
Day of September 1779 at the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Jane Redgwell< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Ann< no role > the Wife of James Watkins< no role > a Smith
at the half was Hour in the Willow Walk
in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
on her Oath Saith,That on Monday Night
last (Septr. 13th.) between Seven & Eight o'Clock
Jane Redqwell the Deced came to Dept. Steps
asking for a Lodging, to which Dept. Answered
that she had no Spare Bed, upon which
Deced went out of the Yard saying that
she wanted to go to Mr. Bear, and went
up the Willow Walk , Says that seeing
the Deced so Feeble Dept. and one of her
Lodgers went out after the Deced in
order to see her safe though the Willow
walk , but could not see her, that they
Enquired of Mr. Jones at the Sign of the
Mouster, who said that the Deced had not
Passed by there, which made Dept. fear
that Deced had fallen into the Ditch
and Dept. did not see her afterwards alive
Says that she was informed the next Morning
that the Deced wasfollowtaken out of the
Ditch, and Dept. believes that the Deced
Accidentally fell into the Ditch, & was Drowned
