April 14. 1779.

Frances< no role > the Daughter of John Wells< no role > of Cook Cutters
Alley in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr Aged about
thirteen Years,SaithSaith That yesterday Morning
She was left with Sarah Wells< no role > her sister (aged nine
Years) in thir RoomYesterday Morning,That she
went out about Eight o'Clock to see what a Clock it
was, and locked the Room Door having the Deced
there alone, who was troubled with Fits, That she
this Informant returned in about five Minutes
and on unlocking the Room Door found the Deced
there with her Cloaths Burning, and cry incoat
Says that some of the Neighbours brought Water
and throrwing it upon the Deced put out the
DecedFire, the Deced being then wrapt up in
a Sheet and carried to the Westmr. Hospital
where she died about five o'Clock the same Afternoon
Says that the was Burnt very much and died in
Consequence of it as this Informant thinks
as the Deced was well when she went out.
