of March 1779 at the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of a Woman Unknown
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

a Gardener at the Neat Houses in the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square Wetmr. on his
Oath saith, That on Thursday last in the
Afternoon aboutaboutfour o'Clock (March 4th)
he was going about his Business, when he
saw the Body ofthea Woman in the
River Thames tied to one of the Willow Trees
by the side of the River at the Neat Houses
in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
Says that a Waterman in about a Quarter
of an hour came to Dept. saying that he had
fastened the woman to the Tree, and that he
found her floating on the River Thames
Says that the Deced appeared to have been long
in the Water and that he observed no Marks
of violence upon the Deced.
