Informations taken this fourth
day of January 1779 at the Parish of
St. James within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the Death of A Man
Unknown lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Henry Williams< no role > a Superunmery Wetchanar
of the Parish of St. James Westmr. on his oath saith
That he was on Duty on Friday Night Jany 1.1. last and
Calling the hour of Ten in little Crown Court
in said Parish when he heard some People
call Watchman upon which he went end
at a Door in Crown Court found the Deced
lying down on the left side with his Head
against a Step at the Door, the people there
Saying that he was dead, Says that he went
to acquaint the Beadle who ordered him
to go to the Workhouse and send People to
fetch the Body there, which he did, and
then went unto Crown Court to the Deced
who was dead, Says that he observed a
little Blood over the Deceds left Eye but
no other Marks of Violence.

on his Oath saith, That on Friday Night last

Watchman to Dept. acquainting him that he
believed a Man lay dead in Crown Court
upon which he went there and saw the
