An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster
in the County of Middlesex , the Twenty sixth day of December in the Nineteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
John Tisoe< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of, Savage
Bear
< no role > , William Gwynn< no role > , Francis Sharp< no role > John Verron< no role > Henry Road< no role > John
Claverley
< no role > , George Jeffreys< no role > Richard Bear< no role > , John Broomhead< no role > , Thomas
Wilson
< no role > George Liddell< no role > and Thomas Coe< no role > good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said John Tisoe came to
his Death, do upon their Oath Say, That on the Twenty fourth day of
December in the Year aforesaid the said John Tisoe was found
Drowned and Suffocated in the River near unto Chelsea
Bridge in the Parish aforesaid within the Liberty and
County aforesaid, That no Marks of Violence appeared
on the Body, but how or by what Means the said John
Tisoe became Drowned and Suffocated, no Evidence
thereof doth appear to the Jurors. In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner. as the said Savage
Bear

himself and the rest of his Fellow, in their
Presence, have to this Inquisition set their Hands
and Seals the Day Year and Place abovementioned.
